Reusable bottles for your polyphenol olive oil - SP360 or Citizens of Soil?

Two major reusable bottles are available currently, SP360 from ONSURI and Citizens of Soil. Here we talk about the differences between the two.

ONSURI was first to bring a premium bottle that was specifically designed to be reused onto the high polyphenol market with their cobalt blue bottles of SP360.

SP360 was put together from the ground up with the intention of being an almost ‘medicinal’ oil. With an extremely high polyphenol content, the idea is to reduce the amount you consume, letting you hit your daily polyphenol dose more easily.

The striking blue bottle is designed to be used over and over with the yellow SP360 refill pouches. You can watch an unboxing of a bottle of SP360 below.

Even though Citizens of Soil has always encouraged the reuse of their olive oil bottles, more recently they have released a bottle specifically designed for reuse. It is branded only with the Citizens of Soil logo, with no mention of a specific oil at all. Meaning you can fill it up with any of the pouches they offer, with different oils from various parts of the world.

Like the SP360 bottle, it is fully opaque and shielded from sunlight which is great for preserving the polyphenols in the oil inside. Both bottles share the same style pourer so both can be used to drizzle over food accurately.

Which is right for you depends on your needs, if you’re looking for something very high polyphenol and are a fan of the more striking design, then SP360 is for you. Alternatively if you’re looking for a bottle you can use with more variety, filling with a different oil every time, the Citizens of Soil ‘vessel’ might be better for you.
