A new olive oil specifically created for its health properties and polyphenol content hits market.

SP360

The well known producer ONSURI has released SP360. The name stemming from the fact the oil is a special production, built from the ground up and specifically designed as a health focused polyphenol oil. This focus allows the producer to monitor growing conditions closely, making fine-tuned tweaks to ensure the polyphenols in the final product are maximised.

Lifetime refillable bottle

The oil comes packaged in a 100% UV protective lifetime refillable bottle painted in a striking powder blue colour, ready to be safely displayed on your countertops or dinner table. This is an important point as UV, sunlight, and white light have been shown to oxidise oil and decrease the nutritional value of olive oil - reducing healthy carotenoids (healthy pigments with antioxidant properties).

The bottle also comes with a pourer specifically designed to work with the bottle perfectly, giving you full control of how much oil you want to pour out each time.

Refill pouches

Once you’ve finished the initial 500ml of oil that comes with the bottle, you can even order refill pouches to top your bottle back up with SP360. ONSURI have really thought of everything with this product offering so you can see why they had the confidence to name the field the olives are grown in ‘360’, they really seem to have had the full picture in mind when designing SP360.

ONSURI have become Jordan’s largest producer of olive oil. Ziad Bilbeisi starting the farm from scratch himself and then passing down his hard work onto future generations of the Bilbeisi family.

Amelia, Ziad's daughter and SP360 co-founder now plays a prominent role in the company, offering valuable insight as a qualified olive oil sommelier and master miller. Her experience clearly shining through to the final product and the low acidity, high polyphenol metrics.

The country of Jordan itself has deep history with olive oil, with olive trees growing there for over 5,000 years, some even believe that it is the birthplace of olive oil. ONSURI are now growing cultivars (olive varieties) that have since risen in popularity in other countries back in Jordan. With Jordan’s unique terroir (conditions in the area a crop is grown) yielding unique flavours in olive varieties like Arbequina and Arbosana.
